We are still going outside! It has been the perfect way to stay social distanced and be able to play and explore with more freedom than we have in the classroom. A few pictures from this fall:
We love to climb on downed logs. This is the big log that fell in the October storm a couple of years ago. It is a crawl highway! We can eat snack in our hoophouse and stay warm. Mabel, our class mascot, loves things that start with M, like maple leaves! Tree climbing is an important part of our forest play. Old apple trees produce a lot of apples that animals love to eat, and kids love to play with. This tree root complex has holes that you can put apples in to stores and little tunnels that apples can shoot out from. This was an apple factory one day. These four kindergarteners came up with the perfect social distanced game– apple toss! We love playing in the woods!
